Wrap-Up

The book concludes with a resource section including examples of multiple intelligences bingo, open questions & phrases and sample lessons.  If anyone is interested in these resources please let me know and I will be happy to get them to you.
I chose this book for a few reasons.  First it had come up in an earlier AET class and had been recommended and second because the dialogue approach to learning is one of the aspects included in the majority of my AET classes that I appreciate the most.  If given the opportunity I would want to approach a class in this way.  It was a quick read packed full of useful information.  Currently I am most interested in adult and distance learning, so some of the techniques discussed in the book would need to be modified slightly, but I believe the crux of Dr. Norris's dialogue approach can be utilized in this form of education.  Because she often references Dr. Vella and I would love to learn more about the dialogue approach I would also like to read her book Learning to Listen, Learning to Teach:  The Power of Dialogue in Adult Education.  I think it would be very beneficial to read two points of view on the dialogue approach.  Overall, it was an interesting read and I think a good choice for this class and for my current interests.

I enjoyed your blog! Thank you for making it easy to read and follow w/each chapter having a title. It was much needed during this short semester with so many things happening at once.
